peace has rested here

In some Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia, there are a pair of bare feet imprinted near the threshold as a symbol to say something like, Buddha has rested here, or to imply presence. At the center is the Dharma Wheel reminding us of the truths we've taught ourselves during our lifetime and those we have yet to learn.
A friend asked if I could donate a piece of art to her Benefit for silent auction. All proceeds going to her new and brave endeavor, Barefoot Acupuncture and Wellness, a donation based healing center she and colleagues are aiming to opening shortly in North Carolina. I cut this design in homage to her journey.

  1. Oh Stephanie, I am happy now. Right now. Being known, knowing, the responsibility it is and the relief I feel. All at once. Sane, sound, solid ground. A kiss for G.
